Campus
Entering the beautiful campus for the first time, teachers are typically awestruck by the natural beauty of the grounds. Located in the Wuchang district of Wuhan, the campus features LuoJia Mountain, East Lake, No-name Pond, and the majestic Olympic Field where Chairman Mao himself exercised in the 1930s.
travel
Mainly, teachers travel to China as a group, leaving from the closest airport to their home and assembling either on the west coast or east coast. In the previous two summers, teachers have flown directly to Beijing, where they are met by a private tour company provided by Wuhan University, which spends 48 hours introducing them to Chinese culture, food, and customs, while showing them the most significant sites in this stately capital city.
Free Time
Most teachers spend their free time in the evenings either exercising, seeking out delicious chinese cuisine, and shopping. Wuhan, a city of 8 million prople, has much to offer everyone. There are three distinct districts in Wuhan, one of which is Hankou, a short ferry ride across the Yangtze, where teacher have found hours of entertainment shopping. Wuchang, known as the cultural & arts center, is where teachers find the best food, including Hu Bu Xiang, or "breakfast street."
